#MyTravelingStory: BUSAN TRIP (PART 1)

.

Hello bloggers!

I'm back with my traveling post! It seems I post a lot about traveling these days, yes it's because I travel a lot, ahaha! I have short semester break this week, I really want to explore Korea more whenever I can, because I will start my Master Degree courses this September, I need to use June to August for having vacation! So, where did I go this time?
.
Taraaaa!!! This time, I went to Busan! Ahahaha, indeed my first time. I will live in Busan starting September, so I never go there to travel, saving vacation spots for later! But this time, again through Korean Tourism Organization (KTO), I had an opportunity to visit Busan. I went there for two days and one night. I spent my first day in Busan only with my traveling partner, Afifa, doing self traveling and my second day with a group organized by Busan Tourism Organization (BTO) as a partner of KTO, consisting Muslim friends from all over Asia. In this post I will talk only about my first day! If you are curious (in advance) about my second day trip, CLICK HERE.

We took KTX from Daejeon to Busan, departing at 9.52 AM and arriving around 11 AM something. It was my first time taking KTX! And all this time I have been thinking that Daejeon to Busan will take 5 hours by bus, but it only took 1 hour and a half by KTX! Whoaaa! By the way, it actually only takes 4 hours by bus, hahaha! Because we booked a guest house around Busan Station, we just walked from there to our guest house, and we found out that we were in Busan's China Town! What a surprise~ And we found a lot of people lining up for getting into a restaurant, I guess it is a famous restaurant, but we did not enter as we were still fasting that time.

Near our guest house, there is also Texas Street! (I do not get it why there is Texas Street inside China Town, but well let it be) It is basically a street that is decorated like Texas, cowboy and cactus things. There are old barbershops, bars, shops and small hotels.

After checking in, we went to Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) street. Yes Busan is popular with its international film festival that has been held in October every year. That time I live in Busan, so I am sure I will go~ We went to its street, not its building. Simply because we lost our way and ended up there. (We wanted to go to BIFF Building, not Square at first). Hahaha! There are some fancy stores, food street sellers and some celebrities' hand printed road there.

It was really hot that day, I guess Summer is coming soon. We took pictures under hot sunlight, it was harder that I expected it to be. Then we suddenly found Kakao Friends Brand Store! For the sake of (getting cold air conditioner) seeing cute things, we entered it! It was my third time visiting Kakao Friends Store, as expected many cute things were displayed. My inner self wanted to buy everything there, but then I realized that first, I have another trip tomorrow so I would not be able to carry those cute things around (especially when I want to buy giant Apeach pillow), second it was near end of May, which meant I was really broke, no money hahaha! Let me just take some pictures then~ And see more of cute things I took picture and little review of Busan's Kakao Friends Brand Store of HERE.

We moved to our next destination, we decided to go to beaches! What is Busan without its beaches and what is Busan trip without visiting its beaches? So we went to Gwangalli Beach. It was hard to decide to go to Gwangalli or Haeundae, but Afifa said Gwangalli is more beautiful and less people will come there, we can take pictures freely, so we went there! And yes it was exactly the same as she said. Not too many people and was really beautiful!

We walked, not too close to water, I really did not bring extra clothes for getting wet, took some pictures and watched street performance near there. Before 4 PM we decide to go to Pusan National University (PNU) to meet our friends and break our fasting there. We went fast but it still a looong way to go since from Gwangalli to PNU takes almost one hour by bus. We arrived there at 5 PM something, then we walked around for a bit. I just found out that my major name is 산업공학과. All this time I did not know and when Korean asked me my major, I answered with "Industrial Engineering" (it is actually its real name) but then they did not understand, and I would add "something in engineering", lol.

Tired, hahaha, we decided to take a rest, we went to NC Mall, exactly beside of PNU's main gate. I am doomed, there are a lot of places near my future university; mall, cinemas, shops, cafes, how can I study peacefully later? Hahaha. After some times passed, finally we went to our friends and had an iftar (break-fasting) together in a seafood restaurant. We ate octopus-shrimp -and-some-seafood-inside soup, not sure about its name hahaha. We boiled it of course! I will not eat raw things hahaha! By the way there is some interesting about restaurants in Korea, some of them do not use stove, they use air technology something, I forgot to record or even take a pic of how it works, later I will post about this in other post, I really need to show you this! (if I'm not too lazy to post ahahaha lol)

Moving to next stop with full stomach, an Ice Cream shop! There will always be separated room for dessert right? Hahaha. We enjoyed 4 flavored ice cream, then we went inside PNU again, watching Weki Meki (actually we were late, we arrived when they sang last song and said thank you lol). Before 10 PM me and Afifa decided to go back to our guest house, which is near Busan station, which is 1 hour far from there! After saying goodbye to our friends, we really went back!

It was really fun going around Busan that day, I looked forward to the next day. We were having Muslim tour by BTO, want to know more about it? Make sure to READ THIS POST and follow my blog! See you in my next traveling story post! :)
