#LivinginKorea101: SPRING'S STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL!

Hello, blogger!

Another Spring post is here! Spring in Korea have many special things, not only cherry blossoms, pretty dresses, blossomed love everywhere, but also strawberries! What? Strawberry? Yeah, if you come from tropical countries, like me I'm Indonesian, you will be surprised of how expensive fruits are in Korea! But in Spring, my most favorite fruit in this world, strawberry, becomes so cheap! Why? Because it's its harvesting time!

Yesterday, for the first time, I experienced going to strawberry festival, which was a heaven for strawberry lover like me! I never imagine there will be a real strawberry festival in my life. I mean, when I play Harvest Moon (harvesting and life experiencing simulation game from Japan) in my childhood time, I did experience fruits' festival there, depends on what season, you will attend different festivals. But heol, I never thought I will attend a real one. Yes, there's a lot of amazing things happened to me since I came here, like what I've been saying all these time, I'm living a dream, hehe. (Even for little, unimportant things, made me excited already, lol).

Again, it was a part of cultural activities my Korean Language institute, Pai Chai University has. This is why I love PCU so much! They have a lots of cultural activities, you might not be able to understand this, but learning Korean Language is as frustrating as learning Operational Management, Mathematical Engineering etc, yes I do love them, but it's still hard. So I love outdoor activity like cultural activities when we can rest for a while from studying and enjoy what's served for us, yuhuuu! Okay, back, so me and my fellow 2017 KGSP students from PCU went to Nonsan, a small city near Daejeon, where my first strawberry festival took place!

We went there early and it only takes 30 minutes to go there, arrived there with big expectation, we walked to strawberry farm with smiling!

Since when did you guys really like to ask me taking pic? ><

We entered one of that plastic tent used for farming strawberry, I really don't know its name sorry haha. The first thing I did once we arrived there was scanning how many strawberries were there and how long will they let us to be there. Yes, I was calculating of how much strawberry I could eat there, and how fast should I take it before some else. Lol, kidding. I just naturally walked and took and ate them! Maybe I ate, like 1 kilo and a half? Yes I'm full because of these ...

Taking pictures with strawberry, with a mouth full of strawberry but still smiling!

After that, we had a lunch together in a bibimbap place! I was really hungry, I forgot to take picture of that bibimbap to post haha. Truthfully, it was not that delicious, but I don't know why I was really hungry, even after eating those 1 kilo and a half strawberries ... Next destination, the real strawberry festival! They did it in a park, or maybe a huge field (?). We watched K-Pop performance first, a must thing to do in Korean festivals! Then went sight-seeing at those strawberry land! There's a lot of strawberry sold there, as well as strawberry products! Jam, bread, cookies, etc! I really love those red things, made from strawberry! But unlucky us, we only have little time to go around. We needed to go back at 3PM!

Me, didn't want to go back, I don't know what's she doing.

We enjoyed yesterday, it was short and not much to do, but still so interesting! Because it was first experience, knowing something new is indeed amazing thing. I will surely go to strawberry festival again next Spring! Anyway, thank you so much Pai Chai University, especially Korean Language Center for making me experienced my very first strawberry festival! :)

And thanks for strawberry farm's sajangnim for giving us another box of strawberry! I will eat this deliciously!
